How many of you know what "lu Vicci '? Simple ... it's the turkey! This is just one of many words in our dialect tavennese doomed to flounder. Held only by the memory of older people, many terms are ending up in the ceiling of our linguistic consciousness. Sometimes they are simplified in the form ("Lu p'dcal" has given way to "lu PED"), are often crushed by the Italian ("Sparton" and now replaced by "mop" and, who knows, maybe in a few years we will call it even " cloth!), or intended to lose
rsi when designating items in disuse (bad future generations will know "the munera" large vessel to hold water for domestic use).
Many words that identify and make our unique spoken disappear! E 'indisputable imperative of speaking the national language ... but our last poll we saw unanimous in considering the local dialect as "something to be preserved and be proud."
So let's try tavennesi ... pull out some other rarities, some other word in danger of extinction!
